ASAs very own High Plains Fastpitch
Softball Association from Amarillo, TX earned a grant earlier this year. We are very excited about having some extra funds for our program, said High Plains administrator Julie Permenter. We want to thank Liberty Mutual for making this opportunity available; it was so easy and had a lot of good information for our parents and
coaches.
To earn the grant, Ms. Permenter said she presented the program at a board meeting then sent an email to all coaches and parents asking them to read the information and take the test at ResponsibleSports.com. High Plains plans to use the $2,500 Grant to fund additional scholarships and to help with their Land Fund that aims to purchase space in their community for a new softball facility.
Remember, the more people that participate in the program, the better your chances are of earning a Responsible Sports Community Grant! Visit ResponsibleSports.com/softball for tools to help spread the word and promote the grant program in your community.
